Tre Hardson - Stubb's - May 24, 2006

Dude! Someone should really tell me these things! Almost missed Tre Hardson of Pharcyde at Stubb's on May 24th!

Man! I think I'm still drunk from the rum tasting at Cuba Libre last night! My friends are the bomb for getting me screwed up on rum... bastards! :)

More info:

Jazzy, soulful and melodic, Tre Hardson has re-emerged onto the hip hop scene with a new band, a new album and a diverse musical soundscape all his own. Formerly Slimkid3 of the legendary L.A. hip hop group The Pharcyde (known for their innovative style, humorous and off-beat lyrical imagery, and infectious beats), Hardson is exploring the boundaries of hip hop as a solo artist, replacing the standard industry format of drum machines and sampled beats with live instrumentation--provided by his 5-piece band, Fuqawi-- and collaborations with some of music's most adventurous and expressive performers such as spoken-word artists Saul Williams and Gaknew of Urban Poets, as well as MC Lyte, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), Kim Hill (Black Eyed Peas), N'Dea Davenport (Brand New Heavies), and Dionna Nichelle to name a few. His 2002 record, "Liberation," pushes these boundaries with the artist's personal lyrical examination of life, love, personal evolution and music, while showcasing the well-crafted rhymes, thoughtful lyrics and rich vocal delivery that brought him acclaim with The Pharcyde. A new album is slated for release in March 2006 titled "Slimkid 3's Cafe."
