Public Enemy, also known as PE, is a seminal hip hop group from Long Island, New York known for their politically charged lyrics, criticism of the media, and active interest in the concerns of the African American community. Their latest LP, a collection of unreleased tracks, "Beats and Places," was released on the 8th of November 2005.
They will be inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame [1] in 2007. They are ranked #44 on Rolling Stone magazine's 100 Greatest Artists of All Time list.[2]
